The Parliamentary Debate consists of two teams – The Government and The Opposition. The Government speaks FOR the motion and The Opposition speaks AGAINST the motion. Both teams have three members: -
Each team must consist of three members.
At first there will be a Preliminary JAM (Just A Minute) Round in which one speaker from each participating team will be allowed to compete. In this JAM round, the speaker has to pick a topic at random from the raffle box and speak for a minute and half about the topic he/she picks up.
Prime Minister: - To highlight the stand of his/her team and present a logical argument FOR the motion (if Prime Minister of Govt.) or AGAINST the motion (If Prime Minister of Opposition)
President: - To further highlight and bring new arguments into the debate. Whip: - To oppose the points of the opponents completely through logic and reasoning.
